You're Not Broke — You're Between Harvests

3 John 1:2

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

King James Version

You woke up this morning and checked your account. The number didn't match your faith. So you started wondering — maybe God forgot? Maybe it's not His will for me to have money? Let's settle this right now.

John — the apostle of love — didn't write that verse as a casual greeting. He wrote it as a PRAYER. A deliberate, Spirit-led declaration over believers. And the word "above all things" in Greek is "peri pantōn" — meaning: first, before anything, in every respect.

God's priority for you is not just your soul. It's your finances. It's your body. It's your whole life — spirit, soul AND body.

The reason many believers live in lack is not because God withheld it — it's because they don't know what already belongs to them. Hosea 4:6 says "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Not lack of God's willingness. Lack of KNOWLEDGE.

Your soul is already prospering — because Christ is in you. The Word is in you. The Spirit is in you. Now your external reality is meant to MATCH your internal reality. That gap between what you have and what you should have? That's not God's plan. That's the gap your knowledge and your confession are meant to close.

Speak the Word. Confess it daily. Act on it. And watch your external world begin to align with your spirit.

Word Study

The Greek word for "prosper" here is "euodoo" — literally meaning "to have a good journey" or "to be led along a good road." God is not just giving you money — He's directing your entire journey toward increase.

Prayer

Father, we thank You that Your will for us is prosperity in every sense of the word. We thank You that the gap between our reality and our inheritance is closing today. We thank You for wisdom to act on the Word, boldness to confess it, and grace to walk in the fullness of what belongs to us in Christ Jesus. Amen.
